Great bookstores like RJ Julia are the lifeblood of authors. That’s why it was interesting to read the below article in the Sunday New York Times about James Daunt, the “bookstore wizard” who will be trying to turn the large Barnes & Noble chain into what looks and feels like a collection of independent bookstores. Nothing can top award-winning local booksellers like RJ Julia, but the more places for authors and readers to have a good experience, the better.
